Noahlone Hot Take: I always do my research when it comes to church events because my kids are Black and Neurodivergent. The current political climate has taught me that 'evangelical' churches generally support Trump. This screams racism, elitism, and yourkidisnotwelcomism. But I don't think so in this case. They partner with a Hispanic Church, La Roca, to pack the backpacks and pray over them. I would feel comfortable taking my kiddos, but I would keep my eyes and ears open for Maga hats and buzz words.

August 1st- Primecheklabs Back to School Bash @ Sedge Garden

Primecheklabs is a drug testing service that seems to be ready to give back to the community. There are not a lot of details on this one, but it seems sincere and worth a shot. Thumbs up.
August 1st- The Vibe Empire Hair Giveaway @ 3706 Reynolda Road. They are giving away hair styles, manicures, etc.
Noahlone Hot Take- This one is very interesting if you have a child whose hair needs to be styled. You have to really know what your kid can handle and what your kid will allow. But this is something I would take my daughter to because she loves stuff like this. Great idea Vibe!!!!
School Starts on August 10th. All events after August 10th will be reviewed next week.

August 8th@ Warnersville Recreation Center-Compassion Loves Action Back To School Event-Games, Fun, Stuffed Backpack, School Supplies

Noahlone Hot Take- It seems like a bunch of motorcycle clubs are getting together to support the kids going back to school with giveaways and games. Thumbs up for this one. I'd go without reservation, in fact, you might catch us out there. Take headphones if your kiddo is sensitive to sound. Motorcycles can very loud and scary if they are not used to the sound.
August 22nd @ LeBauer Park- Back to School Bash
Noahlone Hot Take-This event is put on by the Jay Mack Foundation at a very nice park. Great opportunity for fun and fellowship and possibly a great way to find out what kind of community support is out there for our neurodivergent youth. If you had a pick an event, pick this one.
August 1st @ Greensboro Sportsplex- 18th Annual I Am A Queen Back to School Give-A-Way

Noahlone Hot Take-It looks like a well organized event that would be great for kids that don't like a lot of noise or forced social interactions. This one looks like a winner. They clearly know what they are doing it is the 18th annual event.
There are a few more in Greensboro and I'll research those and post them asap.

Noahlone Hot Take-This looks super fun. It also looks busy and loud and confusing. This is the kind of community event we love, but proceed with caution. Take the whole kit if you go, headphones, ipad, safe foods, etc.
